Working Principle

 

When AC power is connected to the motor, AC passes through the stator winding, generating an alternating magnetic field. This magnetic field passes through the rotor core and induces an electromotive force in the rotor winding, thereby generating an induced current. The induced current interacts with the rotor core magnetic field to generate electromagnetic torque, causing the rotor to rotate.
