Working Principle
The laws of electromagnetic force and electromagnetic induction provide the foundation of the synchronous variable frequency motor's operation. A spinning magnetic field is produced when the stator winding is subjected to AC. Induced electromotive force and current are produced when the rotor winding is cut by this revolving magnetic field. The law of electromagnetic force states that the rotor rotates as a result of electromagnetic force acting upon the current in the rotor winding. The rotor magnetic field and the stator magnetic field rotate in unison to produce synchronous operation when the rotor speed and the rotating magnetic field speed are equal. By adjusting the frequency of the stator magnetic field, the speed of the motor can be controlled.
