What Precautions Should Be Taken When Disassembling A DC Motor

DC motors can be used as both DC motors and DC generators, and have a wide range of applications in the industry, making the conversion between electrical and mechanical energy a reality. Below, we will introduce some knowledge about dismantling and reinstalling DC motors to help everyone better understand this device.
Before disassembly, use a spring scale to measure the working pressure of each carbon brush in the device and maintain it within a certain range. Then you can release the spring and take it out of the brush holder. When disassembling the connection between the brush holder and the armature power supply, make a mark to facilitate later reinstallation.
When disassembling the brush holder, corresponding markings should also be made, and attention should be paid not to scratch the surface of the motor commutator, while also preventing it from being damaged. If you want to be safer, you can wrap the entire surface of the commutator with a suitable width of green shell paper and tie it with white gauze tape, just in case. The entire disassembly work of the DC motor should be carried out in sequence to avoid confusion during reassembly, while during reassembly, it is only necessary to follow the opposite order.
