1. Flameproof enclosure design
Mining flameproof motors use flameproof enclosures made of high-strength cast iron or steel plates. This enclosure can withstand the explosion pressure of the internal explosive gas mixture and prevent the internal explosion from spreading to the external dangerous environment. The main structural features of the flameproof enclosure include:
Flameproof joint surface: The joint surface between the various parts of the enclosure has strict size and surface roughness requirements, which can effectively prevent the spread of flames and hot gases.
Cable entry device: A flameproof cable entry device is used to ensure that the electrical connection between the cable and the motor is safe and reliable.
2. Use of explosion-proof electrical equipment
Mining Electric Motor must comply with national and industry explosion-proof standards, such as the GB 3836 "Explosive Environment" series of standards. These standards make detailed provisions on the explosion-proof performance, structure, testing, marking, etc. of the motor, and are an important basis for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of mining flameproof motors.
3. Strict explosion-proof inspection
When explosion-proof electrical equipment arrives at the mine for acceptance, the product certificate and coal mine product safety mark shall be checked, and the consistency with the safety mark audit shall be verified. Before entering the mine, an explosion-proof inspection shall be carried out, and the mine shall be allowed to enter after the certificate is issued.
4. Grounding and protective measures
Mining Electric Motor must have good grounding measures to prevent static electricity accumulation from causing sparks. At the same time, the exposed live parts of the equipment and the exposed rotating and transmission parts of the machinery must be equipped with protective facilities such as shields or fences.
5. Restricted use conditions
In coal mines, different areas have strict restrictions on the use of electrical equipment. For example, only specific types of explosion-proof equipment can be used in protruding mines and gas spouting areas. In addition, the short-circuit current of the underground power grid shall not exceed the breaking capacity of the circuit breaker used for its control, and the thermal stability of the cable shall be verified.
6. Regular maintenance and inspection
Mining Electric Motor shall be maintained and inspected regularly to ensure that its explosion-proof performance meets the requirements. This includes checking the integrity of the flameproof enclosure, the sealing of the cable entry device, and the reliability of the electrical connection.
