In fact, some parameters in a DC motor are adjustable and can be changed, just like its voltage can be changed through relevant channels and the use of devices to meet the needs of different occasions. There are three common ways to regulate motor voltage, and we will introduce them one by one.
One way is to use a rotary converter unit to achieve this, which is also the earliest regulation system that emerged. It is highly favored by users for its good speed control performance. However, from the current perspective, this system will appear more complex, inefficient, and not very convenient to maintain.
In order to improve the existing problems, a static converter device was subsequently introduced. It is a DC speed control system powered by a thyristor converter device, which can change the triggering control angle of the thyristor by controlling the voltage change, thereby changing the magnitude of the rectification voltage and achieving the purpose of adjusting the speed.
The excellent performance of the new speed control system did not stop us from advancing. Later, in addition to developing pulse width modulation converters, power switch devices were used for on/off control, and the on/off time ratio was adjusted to adjust the DC voltage, which can also achieve good performance.
