1. Electrical safety
Power-off operation: Before performing any maintenance work, you must ensure that the motor has been completely de-energized and the power switch has been locked to prevent accidental power-on. Use a voltage tester or multimeter to verify that there is indeed no voltage in the motor's power line.
Grounding protection: Make sure that the motor housing and all metal parts are properly grounded to prevent electric shock accidents. The grounding wire should be firmly connected without loosening or damage.
Use insulated tools: When operating electrical equipment, use insulated tools and wear insulated gloves to prevent electric shock.
2. Mechanical safety
Prevent accidental start-up: During maintenance, ensure that the motor does not start accidentally. You can use a locking device or warning sign to prevent others from operating it by mistake.
Check mechanical parts: Check the motor's mechanical parts, such as bearings, couplings, and pulleys, to ensure that they are not loose or damaged. Loose parts may cause mechanical failure or personal injury.
Guards: Make sure that all guards, such as guards and guardrails, are properly installed and fixed to prevent contact with dangerous moving parts.
3. Environmental safety
Ventilation and heat dissipation: Ensure that the ventilation system of the motor operates normally to prevent overheating. Clean the ventilation ducts and heat sinks regularly to maintain good heat dissipation.
Clean and dry: Keep the motor and its surroundings clean and dry to prevent dust and moisture from entering the motor and causing insulation performance degradation.
4. Personal protection
Wear appropriate protective equipment: Wear appropriate protective equipment such as hard hats, goggles, insulating gloves and safety shoes when performing maintenance work.
Avoid contact with high-temperature parts: Make sure they have cooled down before contacting the high-temperature parts of the motor.
5. Maintenance and overhaul
Regular inspection: Regularly check the insulation resistance of the motor to ensure that it meets the specified requirements. If the insulation resistance is lower than the standard value, it should be repaired or replaced immediately.
Lubrication and maintenance: Regularly check and replace the bearing lubricant to ensure that the bearing is well lubricated and reduce wear.
Record maintenance work: Record the content and results of each maintenance work in detail to track the operating status and maintenance history of the motor.
6. Other precautions
Avoid starting and stopping the equipment under the automatic operation control conditions: It is strictly forbidden to start and stop the equipment under the automatic operation control conditions to prevent accidents.
Environmental monitoring and hazard source control: Wear labor protection supplies, strictly implement safety operating procedures, recycle damaged parts, and replace old parts with new ones.
When the insulation of the equipment is lower than the specified index, it shall not be put into operation without approval: When the insulation of the equipment is lower than the specified index, the equipment shall not be put into operation without the approval of the ministry or relevant departments.
