1. Power-off operation steps
Notify relevant personnel: Before performing the power-off operation, all relevant personnel should be notified to ensure that they are aware of the upcoming maintenance work and the power-off time.
Disconnect the power supply: Use a suitable circuit breaker or switch to completely cut off the power supply to the motor. Make sure that all relevant power lines are disconnected.
Lock the power supply: Use a lock to lock the power switch to prevent others from accidentally turning on the power due to misoperation. The lock should be kept by the maintenance personnel to ensure that only authorized personnel can unlock it.
Hang a warning sign: Hang a warning sign "Do not close the switch, someone is working" around the power switch and the motor to remind other people not to operate the power switch.
Verify power off: Use a voltage tester or multimeter to verify that there is indeed no voltage in the power supply line of the motor. This is a key step to ensure safety and must be performed carefully.
2. Safety precautions
Personal protection: When performing the power-off operation, maintenance personnel should wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as insulating gloves, insulating shoes and hard hats.
Prevent accidental start: Make sure that the motor will not start accidentally. Mechanical locking devices or physical barriers can be used to prevent the mechanical parts of the motor from accidentally turning.
Grounding protection: Make sure the housing and all metal parts of the motor are properly grounded to prevent electric shock accidents. The grounding wire should be firmly connected and not loose or damaged.
Environmental inspection: Before powering off, check the environment around the motor to ensure that there are no flammable, explosive or hazardous substances to prevent accidents during maintenance.
Record operations: Record the time, operator and related measures of the power-off operation in detail to track and manage maintenance work.
3. Inspection before restoring power
Comprehensive inspection: Before restoring power, conduct a comprehensive inspection of the motor to ensure that all maintenance work has been completed and all tools and materials have been cleaned up.
Remove locks and warning signs: Remove the locks and warning signs of the power switch to ensure that the power can be safely turned on.
Notify relevant personnel: Notify all relevant personnel that the maintenance work has been completed and the power will be restored. Make sure that all personnel have left the danger zone.
Gradually restore power: Gradually restore power, first connect the main power supply, then connect the auxiliary power supply. Observe the start-up of the motor to ensure that everything is normal.
